HOLISTIC FITNESS


The Seven Elements Of Wellness



​The new approach to health and physical well-being is a holistic approach.
We all know the importance of good nutrition, but there are also other aspects that we need to keep in balance. We neglect our body of physical activity, and we don't give enough attention to our mental and emotional health. 

The integration of all these factors, including the well being of our environment, is what we call a "holistic" concept since all of these aspects are interconnected.

It goes deeper than a six-pack, or sharply defined biceps to feel healthy and complete.  ​Holistic fitness energizes you, repairs and strengthens your body.  But it also recharges you ‘internally,' through conscious, mindful movement patterns, that allow your mind to connect to individual parts of your body.

​When we understand wellness in this context – total integration of mind-body-spirit- environment -- being fit takes on a whole new meaning. Fitness becomes a way-of-life. 

A holistic lifestyle can be broken into 7 elements: 
Physical
Emotional
Intellectual
Social
Spiritual
Environmental
Occupational

Environmental well-being includes trying to live in harmony with the Earth by understanding the impact of our interaction with nature and our personal environment.  And by taking action to protect the world around us.
